Math Challenged = Mortgage Crisis

I have often said that the mortgage crisis was due in part to the fact that American's have horrible math skills and there is a study that now backs this up.

Americans who have trouble dividing 300 by 2 are much more likely to end up in foreclosure than consumers with average math skills says the "Numerical Ability Predicts Mortgage Default" published by the National Academy of Sciences.

Life is much more complex and our collective math skills have not met the increased complexity allowing greedy bankers to take advantage of those laking numerical ability.

Sad but true. Common core is needed to end the mortgage crisis!!
